Girl Boss -Netflix TV Series Review

netflix series, girl boss, review

Last week I decided to watched all the episodes of “The Girlboss” on Netflix and I didn’t have high expectations…the reason for this is because I’ve watched other series about influencers and YouTubers that we very poorly made and I feel I learned nothing from those series. I actually felt like I’ve wasted precious time.

But with this series!… Let me tell You!!  it wasn’t the case. From episode one, I felt that I was learning something and at the same time having fun!

I really think that every woman who aspires to have her business should watch this series.

Just in case you don’t know about Sophia Amoruso, she founded Nasty Gal a vintage, a clothing online store and she also wrote a book called #Girlboss that became a bestseller.
I related so much to this the character in this series because I’ve always had the entrepreneurial chip on my heart. I always wanted to be my own boss, to be able to work for my own dreams instead of working for the dreams of others.

In one of the episodes, the main character realizes that as much as she doesn’t want to work for anyone else, she still needs to get a job that can allow her to pay her bills,  to be able to eat and to get health insurance because she needs to get surgery due to a hernia she has. Unfortunately, this is the reality of so many entrepreneurs around the world.

Also, another topic covered on this show was how her own father didn’t take her seriously and didn’t believe in her;  This is something that I  personally go through every day of my life.  Some people in my life think that I’m immature or maybe sometimes irresponsible for going after my dreams instead of going for a more socially acceptable career choice.

This character goes through so many ups and downs trying to become a successful business woman that for many of us…watching this series will feel as if we are watching ourselves on the tv.

So to all my rebels, women that dream to become their own boss someday…this tv series is a must watch to get some inspiration and turn on the “I’m gonna do it” spirit.

if you are reading this and you’ve already watched it. What did you think about the series?

with all my love,
Neisha
