How to start Your Blog: Part I

I wanted to write this post because when I was trying to start my own blog I read dozens of blog posts that gave me headaches and made me very confused and this was one of the reasons that kept preventing me from starting my blog sooner. Many of other bloggers will suggest to start right away with WordPress and I think this is not a good fit for everyone who is just starting.

My friends! …if you are trying to start a website, a blog or a business there is nothing wrong to start small and get your feet wet first.  I think this is the most valuable piece of advice I can give you….don’t be afraid to start small!

Since I’m not getting paid for this blog post or to mention any company, I can say objectively that a great platform to start a blog is blogger. if you really want to get in this world of blogging there are so many actions you can take to make your blog look great but is not mandatory to start on WordPress to be a successful blogger.

Blogger is free and is the best way to start writing, exploring topics, ideas, start building your audience and continue improving your creative skills.

Don’t get me wrong, I think WordPress is a great platform that you can move to when you are growing because yes, WordPress has more flexibility than blogger but in the beginning blogger can be a great school for you to find your so called “niche”, your writing style and to start building your brand.

Keep in mind that if you are reading a blog post that suggests for you to start on WordPress is because they are also recommending you a hosting service who they’ve partnered with…and again please there is nothing wrong with that at all…all these hosting services like bluehost and hostgator are really good services and I probably will be using one of them in the near future. The main Idea I want you to take from this post is that it is OK  to start small and with baby steps…as long as you stay committed in this new journey and keep improving, I know you will find success.

For me Blogger has been a blessing because I’m a multi passionate woman and I’m still trying to figure out how I fit all my passions in one blog without me sounding as if I’m not focused.

If you are starting and have questions please comment below and I will be answering any questions you might have…I Know the struggle so I would love to help you

I think by getting your own domain will take your blog to the next step…I got mine at godaddy.com because the first one is very cheap 😉
